Old Lung Bridge, Ballaghdereen, N5, Co
Roscommon.
Parapets
dismantled and rebuilt to increased height. 75% repointing
to all bridge in lime mortar.

Slipped arch rebuilt and arch barrell repointed.

Repointing and pinning to 3 no arch barrells
including some arch rebuilding

Stonework
pinned to whole bridge. 6 no 1m sq x 20mm steel plates bolted through
piers over water and grouted.
The works to the
above 3 bridges was to strengthen them to faciltate
the passage of abnormal loads travelling from Galway Docks to Tynagh power station.
