One of our specialist activities over the years has been the repair and renovation of bridges both in England and Ireland. Below is a selection of these.

The Old Lung Bridge, Ballaghdereen, N5, Co Roscommon.

Parapets dismantled and rebuilt to increased height. 75% repointing to all bridge in lime mortar.

Slipped arch rebuilt and arch barrell repointed.

Repointing and pinning to 3 no arch barrells including some arch rebuilding

Stonework pinned to whole bridge. 6 no 1m sq x 20mm steel plates bolted through piers over water and grouted.

The works to the above 3 bridges was to strengthen them to faciltate the passage of abnormal loads travelling from Galway Docks to Tynagh power station.

Helifield Bridge, North Yorkshire

Low pressure pointing to spandrels and soffit. Bats evident. Access by hoist.

Coniston Cold Bridge, North Yorkshire.

Low pressure pointing with lime to whole bridge. Traffic management. Access by hoist. Some repairs and river bed alteration.

Seamer Railway Bridge, A64.

Traditional pointing to spandrels. Bridge saddled.

Scampston Bridge, A64, Malton, North Yorkshire

Soffits grit blasted and low pressure pointed with lime mortar to all.
